Lodi Lake is one of our community's most popular places to swim, paddle, and cool off, especially during the hot Central Valley summers. Even strong swimmers can get into trouble in open water, and most drowning victims were not wearing a life jacket. Not every family can afford one, and a child's or visitor's day at the lake can turn dangerous in seconds. Life jackets stationed at the lake and maintained by the Lodi Fire Department let anyone borrow the right size for free, no questions asked. This kind of loaner program is a simple, proven way to prevent water emergencies before our crews ever have to respond. Your donation allows us to supply life jackets to the Lodi Fire Department so they are available to the public at Lodi Lake, helping every family enjoy the water safely.

Lodi is surrounded by vineyards, orchards, open fields, and dry grassland that become fuel for fast-moving vegetation fires each summer and fall. Our structure engines are built for city streets and hydrants, not for levee roads, vineyard rows, or dirt trails. A brush truck is a lightweight, four-wheel-drive apparatus that can reach those areas, carry its own water, and attack a fire while moving, often stopping a small grass fire before it becomes a major incident. It also keeps our frontline engines available in town for structure fires and medical calls. Your donation helps us fund a new brush truck for the Lodi Fire Department, protecting the homes, farms, and families we serve.

Lodi Fire Department operates four stations, each one a home base for the crews who respond to fires, medical emergencies, and rescues across our community.
